An Eventful Yet Unfruitful night

Its bloody 6.12am in the morning ... Juz got home from AMK Central Mac , my 2nd overnight mugging session with Calvin ... Getting Sick of all the Macdonald Meals ...

A rather Eventful ( alot of Wayangs ) & Unfruitful ( alittle bit of Revision ) night ... It started like this :

Met up with Calvin @ 2230H , walked to AMK Central Mac , Happily bought a Large Ice-tea , ready to study @ least 5 chapters ... Only to realise that I left my MOST IMPORTANT textbook @ Home !! Basket ....

Calvin went to the arcade to play , while I took a cab home ( $4.20 only ) ... The uncle juz kept yakking about politics , how cabbies are earning lesser , how the Cab companies wanted to employ Chinamen , Filipinos , to drive their cabs ( Imagine a chinaman driving you around , telling you which place has the best "Bah Chor Mee " ) ... YaddaYaddaYaddda .... How the Foreign Talent in Singapore Creates more taxi-drivers aged 35 & below ...

Went to Arcade to find Calvin @ 2346 near MN , ended up spending $5.00 drifting around Mt Akina , Usui ( Initial D ) ... its been awhile since I contributed some money to the Arcade machines ...

Saw Some little underaged Ah lians in short-hotpants , smoking with some ah bengs @ the entrance .. AND I THOUGHT AH BENGs & AH Lians were passe ! Tsk Tsk ....

Tempted by the 24hour "Bah Chor Mee" stall , went to eat some good "Bah Chor Mee" before studying ... Encountered an auntie , carrying 3 big bags of commodities ... consisting of Tissue packs , Calculator , Male black Socks ??!!! Calvin was so impressed by Auntie's Entrepreneurship ... that he said Auntie was an impressive SOLE TRADER ( Accounting !!! Argh !! ) ... Nope Nope ... I didnt buy anything from the Auntie even though she was offering an impressive array of goods ... and she was quite a pitiful sight ... I actually thought of asking her if she had dinner , If no , I was more than willing to treat her to a nice warm bowl of "bah Chor Mee" ... but I soon saw her closing a sale with an uncle who bought a pair of socks from him .... Bless the kind soul ...

Revision was really quite disruptive , as we couldnt really concentrate as much as the 1st time round during Accounts Revision ... And we both felt cold as we were both wearing bermudas ...

But the night wasnt gonna pass by without us encountering nothing .... In came a bunch of Teenagers who were around 18 years old ... Got very rowdy , with the guys boasting about their NS adventures to the girls ... and even the girls started talking abt IPPT !!! But what amused us the most was the sight of one of the Ah lians carrying her boyfriend "Piggyback" style around Mac !! And the both of them did Not even Show the slightest Embarrassment !! I later saw them HankyPanky , kissing each other outside the dark corner of Macdonalds ...

The Rowdy bengs and Lians left , and an old destitute uncle came to take over their role of "entertaining" us ... His worldly possessions was a Plastic bag filled with his belongings & other rubbish , and he seriously stank of sourish dried perspiration ... Saw this Uncle once a few days back during Accounts Revision , Sleeping on the Concrete floor outside Mac , Half Naked ...

Calvin started his "CB CB CB " mumbles , as Uncle started to clear his throat of Phelgm ... You know the Snorting and Pronounce "Hoick" for spitting sound ... I also got turned off ... And we left the restaurant , walking towards another new 24hour Mac ...

Long story short ... Calvin's Intel on the new Mac was inaccurate !!! we made a wasted trip down ... ended up back in Mac again ... Luckily , Uncle "Hoick" had left for the day ...

Revision resumed , but not for long ... before we saw another Ah lian , holding her Drunk friend , staggering to the toilet ... And we just laughed our heads off @ the sight of the Ah lian ... Were we mean ?? I dont think so ... Apparently , she got intoxicated by her male frens sitting outside Mac .. and they were all barely over the legal age ... Calvin mentioned something about the girl having a loose C*b* .. behaving so immorally ... I cant help but thinking she probably is ...

Also saw a young punk chewing on a straw , swaggering ( Da Yao Da Bai ) into Macdonalds in a rude and bossy manner , I wan Ice Milo .... I Want Tissue ( Not serviettes ) .. And another Ah Beng trying very hard to impress his two female friends , by talking big with the Service Crew about Buying over Macdonald's Ice-cream Dispenser and putting it in his house ...

** All males and females above mentioned , are labelled ah bengs & ah lians , because they simply looked like typical Ah bengs & Ah lians ....

Simply couldnt get anymore notes into my head , we soon called it a day ... and proceeded back home . On the MRT back ... I noticed something really stramge ... @ 0545 AM in the morning ... Almost every cabin is filled with people ... And Almost 80% of these passengers had grey or white hair ... where were these uncles & aunties going ?? Work ? Home ? .......... I went home after a long night , with more insights into the life of singaporeans and little insight on my marketing notes ...

From the Entrepreneur Auntie , Destitute Uncle and the many Aunties & uncles who were on the train , I saw a very glaring & pressing issue on the aged & elderly ... These uncles & aunties have to wake up much earlier than most of us ... juz to go to work to earn themselves a decent living ... And probably try means and ways to prolong the lifespans of their diminishing CPF money ...

Looking @ the little Ah bengs & Ah lians smoking @ the arcade , to the intoxicated & hanky Panky Ah lians & Ah bengs @ Mac .... Calvin and I couldnt help wondering what were the parents of these kids doing ?? Why didnt they bother about their children?But we are in no position to chastise them , and can only shake our heads and conclude that the girls probably need to get a "really bad experience" in life , to learn lessons the hard way ... and to realise the difference between good decent guys & guys who juz wanna get between their legs ...

Its 26 mins after midnight .. wide awake again ..My biological clock is going haywire .. been having uber late nights recently ... Not really revising .. but rather unwinding myself ...

For every hour of study .. i estimate 3 - 4 hours of unwinding... this is how strenous revision is to me ... its really harmful for the braincells you know ??

Last night , went for supper ( yeaH , I am fat I know.. what to do ? gf complain I fat , yet asks me enthusiastically each time for buffet ) with SunShine , CK , Angel , Brighton & ZhongHe @ Bukit Timah 's Sian De Lai ( Literally translated into Comes fresh ? ) 2nd time there ...

The food wasnt really buffet style ... They employed a smart concept of "free-flow" .. they regulate the amount of food you take .. by giving you a checklist to tick .. and they bring out the food on little plates .. So you dont really waste their food , AND YET they can openly charge you Buffet pricing ..

Food wasnt really that fresh ... as most were refrigeratored ..but Not really complaining abt the freshness .. There were a variety of Soupbases ( Sichuan , Mala , Carrot Potato etc) that WE REALISED that we had to pay additional for later ... I started wondering why is it called a buffet then ?

Service was quite alright and friendly ... although they MISSED out on a few of my Crab dishes ...

Total Damage Came up to $19 per pax .. My opinion is : NOT WORTH the $19 price tag ... Food was really controlled by them .. We couldnt really choose what we could eat from the checklists ... Soup base was additional Charge , Their food was spicy ..and Drinks were additional charge .. Wun wanna Go again ...

The girls Got bored and restless after the buffet ... didnt wanna go home ..and asked for places to go ... So i suggested Kranji Dam .... I chose that place for a few reasons ... We were reasonably near the area .... The Kranji Dam was Scenic , by "Singapore Standards" ... and we would have to pass by cemeteries , SAF training areas .. Very Ulu & adventurous roads ... So i thought it would be an eyeopener for the girls who wouldnt be there without rhyme or reason ..

So Taxi Uncle Marcus guided the car , with Taxi Uncle CK @ the wheels .. Admittedly it was really quite eerie enroute to Kranji Dam ... The Expressway to Jalan Bahar was deserted ...So was Jalan Bahar ( near the SCDF academy & Muslim Cemeteries ) ... Reached Lim Chu Kang Road , passed LCK camp II , Tengah Airbase ... passed the Farms ... Wah ... the night air was cooling and alil too chilling for comfort ... Drove through a very long and winding stretch of road along Neo Tiew .. and past really dark & eerie places ...

After what seemed like eternity , We reached Kranji Dam ... No fotos yet , Fotos with SunShine ... The girls were Somewhat unimpressed with the " Singaporean standard " of a Scenic dam after watching the movie " SILK " , where they saw a very very impressive view of Taiwan's ELECTRICITY POWER STATIONS...

Sunshine was more intrigued with the route that we took ( the cemeteries , the ulu ulu dark dark farms .. , long winding roads ) ... Alamak .. should have brought them to the cemetery areas ... But then again ... better dun be hero . Kiang jiu Ho .. Mai Gek Kiang ...

Time to hit the books ...

Me : Try paying 20cents for less than a metre of toilet paper ... (provided I have the coins , and CAN MAKE IT IN TIME to dig out my coins & not shit in my pants ) ... I rather close the deal in the comfort of my own home.

FREE FLOW Toilet Paper , FREE Flow Water ... Conducive & Clean Environment .. No interruptions from Another "bomber" suddenly rushing into the toilet , disrupting your deal when he "closes his deal" with a big splash / or "Heavy Machine Gunfire " and a loud AhhHhhh" >> Yes it happens in public toilets ..

My points : Emptying One's bowels is an extremely private business ... if we are made to pay for public bombing ranges ..( fair enough) ... dun make me pay money and give me soOooO little toilet paper ... Not even enough to clean the bowls ...

I dont mind Paying $1.00 - $2.00 for a Super Good Toilet Experience ... Dry floors , Ample toilet paper , Conducive & private cubicle with no gaps ( Machiam in your own world ) .. Nice smelling Deodorant to freshen up ... Thats all I ask for .. and thats what I am willing to Pay Good money for ... (Afterall .. its not often you have the urge to explode in your pants Everyday outside of your house !)

Sure ... spend all we want , pamper ourselves .... All I ask for ... is to urge everyone to show some compassion , for those around us ... And sometimes ... Charity can be infectious ... Juz look @ the newspapers featuring the dead guy's family plight ... Didnt people start pouring in Donations ?? These kind souls have even taken the initiative to collect the money from their colleagues and friends ...

Saturday was quite a fruitful day in terms of love life and social life ...

Sunshine came over to my place to accompany me while i was to revise .. but we both ended up watching " Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift " ... and " nua " , listening to songs , chatting .. until it was time for dinner ...

Had Macs with my auntie in the living room , until CK & Angel came to fetch us for another round of dinner @ Lau Pa Sat ( Old Market , a Famous Eating Spot in Singapore ) . Got Dressed up in matching colours ... wore the NEW " HarLey Lu Ya" Shirt that Sunshine bought for me .. I am a free thinker ..but I dun mind wearing the shirt .. coz it looks nice and its very comfortable !!

Found a parking space quite quickly , due to "organised" arrangements by the stallholders @ LauPaSat ... They took initiative to guide drivers in , then signalled the arrival of customers to other stallholders , So that theY could get THEIR STALLs' menus to us . A subtle form of touting , I guess . There is also an alliance between the Malay Satay Stallholders & the Chinese "Zi Char" stalls .. The arrangement seems to be for the malay stallholders to take our orders in Satay first ( so that we can buy their bite-sized Satays , before we eat the main courses in "Zi Char" ) .... Its a win win situation for them .

Suddenly , it was mentioned that It was CK & Angel's 1st year Anniversary !! hahah , Oh yes ...they got attached soon after Sunshine & I got attached ... ahaha ... We recapped how they met & got to know each other @ the KTV , holding hands & getting caught by me @ movies , hahha .. it felt great , recapping what we all did for the past year ...

Amusing thing is My gf's Sec Sch Buddy is My Sec Sch Buddy's gf. Confusing? Nah...

CK is my Sec Sch Buddy . Angel & SunShine are Secondary School Buddies. CK & Angel are a couple . Get it ?? hahaha ... I do think this is the perfect Combo Couples set .. Simply because we guys do not needa worry that our gfs cannot click with each other , coz they already clicked with each other before we all got together .. Uber Convenient !

Ordered Satay , Calamari , Sambal StingRay , Sambal KangKong , " Tua Tao "and "Tsut-Tsut" ( a kind of sea snail I think ) . Food was alrite on the whole , nothing That Fantastic to comment about .. So dun wanna rave abt it .. Juz go down to Lau Pa Sat , try your luck and you will get Good food most of the time .

the 4 of us were deciding where to go after that.. brought the car for a wash along Telok Blangah Road.. hm.. Sunshine suggested driving into Sentosa for some exploration.. why not.?? The haze was out for the day ...So the Singaporeans are OUT TO PLAY !! We bought drinks.. n drove in.. usually entry to Sentosa costs S$2.00 per car & per pax.. so we were expecting to pay S$10.00 to get into Sentosa.. wahahaha.. FREE ENTRY in the end ah.. the uncle didnt ask us to stop n pay.. so we happily drove in.. wahahaha..

I Wanted to bring them back to OneDeg15 ... But alamak .... The security Guard said it was closed for the day ...

Well , OneDeg15 was unsuccessful ... So we drove around other parts of Sentosa in the middle of the night ... to explore the Island ... Most parts of the Island were deserted ... no cars @ all ... and it sure was a little eerie ...

Brought them to Tanjong Beach to visit KM8 , and to my surprise ... The "so hyped up" club was totally deserted ! ... tsk tsk ... walked further into Tanjong Beach .. sat in a shelter to feed some mosquitoes for 10 mins ... Got bored ... and we left Tanjong Beach ...

Went to the defunct Sentosa Ferry Terminal ... another deserted spot ... It was sad to see the Ferry terminal in a way , being forgotten by tourists and the Sentosa Management alike .. Now that we have the bridge linking Sentosa to Mainland SG .. and the cable Cars , and SoOn the LRT to Sentosa ... Ferries no longer ply the short route from the old WTC to the Sentosa Ferry Terminal ..

The Majestic Clock Tower Still stands tall ... overlooking the Once-busy Sentosa Ferry Terminal .

Angel was kind & brave ( I dont have a license ) enough to let me drive her automatic car around in the deserted Sentosa carpark ... Took it for a few rounds in the carpark ..after getting familiarised with the brakes , accelarator with CK by the passenger seat and the girls in the back . Negotiated a particular turn a few times ... Did a "pahliah" reverse parking of sorts .. and ended the short but exciting "lesson" ...

Now quite motivated to take up driving lessons ( Manual OF COURSE ! ) ... hahah it sure feels shiok to be in the driver's seat ...

Ended the day .... Drove SunShine home .... ( CK of course .... ) .. before they sent me home .... Was a Good saturday ....

Letter from Father to Son ~~~ Meaningful

Saw this "letter to son" letter .. quite inspired by it , but yet troubled by its contents. I find its contents quite true as I am very guilty of many of these little but unfilial acts. But yet again, its Not my father who wrote or thought of these to tell me ... if he ever wrote all these .. or similar content ... I really swear I wouldnt have treated him like What I am doing now ..

Anyone can be a father. Just Have Great Sex. But to be a Good Dad to one's son , it takes skill & great communication skills & understanding of the child And much more ..... It is definitely tough in this era & age .. whereby many factors Like Time , Education, work actually affects One's performance as a Son or Dad.

Maybe it is time for me to rethink my actions & behaviours towards my dad. But I still believe it takes two hands to clap ... and Deep Down .. I believe I am clapping into thin air. So Do i still give in to his behaviour ?

For the record : My dad doesnt smoke , doesnt gamble , doesnt womanise. He Just loves to EAT Nasty ( Junk) stuff & drink sweet stuff , ignoring his own health.

He brings in the dough monthly , and He loves my mum to bits . And So You ask me , why am I behaving that way towards him ? I can only say its a Long Long Story... A crooked foundation that wasnt straightened ... leading to a crooked house .

But PS : The crooked house still stands strongly though. I think I will let my dad read the letter someday.. And Make him see it from HIS ANGLE as a Father , and My angle as a son ...

Vivo City's FOOD REPUBLIC is a Freakin' RipOFF !!

What is a RipoFF ? -- They Rip Money OFF you , get it ?

Went VivoCity with Ck , angel & Sunshine for dinner last night. true to its advertisements , it boasts of the largest shopping mall in Singapore , with many many many many many shops UNOPENED ..., retail , fashion , even a dental & GP clinic .. With only 30% Shops open ... many shops were left boarded up , awaiting final touchups ..The toilets were dirty , badly maintained .. CK & I couldnt help feel that the management of VivoCity wasnt that organised ? Everywhere was half-fuck-done .. messy .. and they were already letting shoppers in ..

Got hungry , Went for Dinner @ VivoCity's FOOD REPUBLIC .. its theme decor seemed to be the Olden Days chinese settlement Concept ... somehow the design didnt impress me that much , as I felt that the designer lost his direction in designing the place ... Confusing concept ..with loads of props thrown in ...

Being Typical Singaporeans , ( me included) , everyone went to visit the Half-Done Vivo city , thronging its malls, packing and filling its restaurants & Food court . The cleaners were kept busy clearing plates , and it seemed that they were struggling to keep up with the pace of clearing ..

There was a wide variety of local "famous delicacies" .. but we soon found out that Eating from "famous" stores came with a hefty price ...

1. Fried Carrot Cake -- Nothing Fantastic . Price = $4.00

2. "Famous" Bah Chor Mee & Apple+ Celery Juice ... I was tempted by the Bah Chor Mee .. But I was turned off by the price .. $5.00 a bowl .. and the amount of "Bah Chor" minced pork was so little .. What is "bah Chor Mee" with so little "bah Chor" and the taste wasnt that fantastic ... Apple+ Celery juice was worse !! $4.00 ..and it was charged as if the juice was from the heavenly fruit juice stall

Damage - $ 5.00 Bah Chor mee , $4.00 Fruit juice . WAH !!!

3. Pepsi Max -- This was the ultimate RipOFF . I paid $1.60 PER CAN of Pepsi ! NTUC was selling @ $0.60 per can .. Other Kopitiams selling @ $1.20 - $1.30 .. and Other FOODCOURTS @ $1.50. What's So Special about REPUBLIC FOOD COURT 's Pepsi that cost us $1.60? with $0.30 more .. I can get a 1 litre bottle !!

And I asked for another cup of ice ... the Cashier told me : "sure .. ANOTHER $0.30 " .. Immediately , I went : " HAR??!! WAH !! .. Then I Dont Want liao ... " ... This left 3 other customers behind me giggling ... I Juz felt it was ridiculous .. $0.30 for an additional cup of ice that was not even 3/4 full ?? They were already charging us exhorbitant prices for Pepsi , and still wanna charge us ridiculous prices for ice , when it is so damn hot in Singapore ? Fucking capitalists ! I know overheads and costs need to be covered .. but NOT @ ridiculous prices

4. Famous Fried Hokkien Mee -- Quite a popular stall , with another branch @ Orchard Republic FoodCourt. Misleading price list with only $6 / $9/$12 ... Until I heard the auntie asking me : Ah Dee .. Yours is $4 or $6 ??? Immediately I said $4 happily ... Only to find that they ran out of Sambal Chilli . What is Fried Hokkien Mee without Sambal Chilli ?? alamak ..

5. Fried Fish Beehoon soup -- CK said the fish was Not bad .. Damage = $4.00

In Summary , we didnt eat to our hearts contents , as most of our food wasnt even near average Foodcourt standard , and we paid much more for it , compared to other Foodcourts. And the portions were Not filling ... Its really a case of " Jia Buay Bah , Yao Buay Si" , Chi Bu Bao , Er Bu Si" ...

I Dont mind paying for good food .. But i guess the higher price should be justified by the taste of the food ...As Marketing Principles Say :

Definition of Customer Satisfaction - Products Perceived performance to match customer's expectation of it .

Not satisfied , Pay $$ eat liao also buay Song ... Good Food , Pay $$ , queue for very long , Eat liao also Song...

Went up to Sky Garden , to admire an " otherwise beautiful & scenic view of Sentosa" , marred by the stupid haze .. But admittedly it was a beautiful Sky garden ..with large pools of water around it .. I think it is a very clever concept that serves many purposes .

Kids love the knee-deep pools , the pools of water also beautifies the Sky Garden... And One may not realise ... The Pools of Water actually serve a Good purpose of Cooling down Vivo City ! .. The pools of water can absorb the sweltering heat from the midday sun , juz like those gardens ontop of city buildings... This can help VivoCity save energy from the AirCons ... Smart Concept !

Left the place disappointed with the bad experiences from dinner and the Half-fuck-done shops ... Probably will give Vivo City another try when it is OFFICIALLY OPEN ... but FOOD REPUBLIC can kiss my arse .. I rather pay more and enjoy good food @ one of its many other restaurants ..

Went to another Ghost-town mall ... Cathay The Cineplex @ Dhoby Ghaut ... Another Half-Fuck-Done mall .. with many shops still under renovation. And if I am not wrong ... Cathay OPENED MUCH EARLIER than Vivo !!

Watched SILK ... an interesting Horror movie that explained Ghosts in a Scientific way . Quite an interesting show as they really did follow some beliefs of ghosts ...

1. It is really believed by some that Ghosts are juz a form of energy that is trapped in that particular environment..and the ghosts are fated to juz repeat the routines that they did while they were alive.. and the cycle goes on .. until something/someone breaks the cycle.
2. Some Scientists did an experiment to weigh a person before and after death .. and they measured a minute difference of 0.0001gram ( i forgot the exact decimal place) .. Further pushing towards the belief of ghosts as a form of energy .

Very very interesting show ..with scary moments of course .. 4.5 stars out of 5 Stars ...

Guess I got complacent after today's Accounting lesson/Revision , after going through all the Questions with Daniel our lecturer .. Somehow morale Got a boost , knowing that it wasnT fully on " balance shit " , " profit & getting Lost" ...

Got complacent til I got tempted to go bowling again ... I guess the onus is on ourselves to push ourselves for the final battle ... Its really scary when Calvin keeps asking us to study , keeps swearing abt the questions .. So Colourful are his Vulgarities that even , Marcus The MahaGuru of Vulgarities , also get turned off .. And definitely scared shitless by his "progress in revision" , while we seem to be stuck with the chapter Ones of each module .

Went bowling with Rae the Birthday boy , Kok Fai and Jennifer ... I am happy that we found a few common interests in bowling , KTV & pool. It isnt easy finding companions for an interest .. and In bowling , we found each other as healthy & friendly competitors.

Played 3 games each , and the scores were rather tight ... The scores were quite close , and we were all happy for each other whenever the person XSTRIKEX or /SPARE/ ... It was more like pushing on for better scores as a whole .

I like friendly competition and believe friendly comp will push each other on positively ... while Negative competition kills the spirit. I have seen Bad Sportmans in bad behaviour , cursing and swearing , banging equipment , throwing tantrums in games ... To me , they have lost the meaning of the game , and they have probably lost the respect of the opponent ( me ) , whenever they behave badly after losing .

Nobody loves to lose. But If EVERYONE WANTS TO WIN , WHO IS GONNA LOSE ? PLAY YOUR BEST , LOSE THE GAME , WIN SOME RESPECT .

After many days of SuSpense , marketing results are out .

I WILL NOT SAY as usual , I failed again . It isnt Usual !
Yes .. I Got NN again .. NN = Nin Nia-eh , Fail .

What made me most disappointed isnt failing , but for the fact that I was stupid NOT to trust myself .

30 TRUE/FALSE Questions in 1 hour. I completed it the 1st time round , gave every question serious thoughts , read and re-read the questions , just to determine it as true or false . But what was horrifying was that the answers were true , true , true truetruetruetruetruetruetruetrue , then a series of false false false false false answers !

I couldnt believe it , and I didnt believe in myself ... I went to nitpick on questions , juz to conform to the "NORM" ( the normal patterns of an answer sheet) ... I went to change my RIGHT answers to wrong ones !

I paid dearly for it ... The deduction of 1/2 mark for each wrong answer ... sent me crashing down to NN again , when I could have passed and probably Gotten a credit IF I BELIEVED IN MYSELF IN THE FIRST PLACE !!

I ATTENDED LECTURES faithfully and NEVER DOZED OFF !! All because of a mistake... ARGGGHHHHHHHHHH....

Reminds me of a show about a Cop whose partner has died :

Juz back from my 4th Run ... Short Run around my Housing Estate ... It seems like a shorter distance than when I first Ran ... So maybe Its time i increased my Running Distance ... I never enjoyed running during my NS days ( my ankles hurt like hell) ... Except when I was in BMT... When Singing while running together with my buddies was an enjoyable thing to do. And better still , I was Losing HELL LOTS OF WEIGHT... I lost 20KG during BMT .. So motivated to Run ..

In 160 SQN , I hated Running even more ... as trainees , we were made to run in Skeletal Battle Order around our Weapons Hangar .. For Small mistakes or Ridiculous Reasons ... We were made to Run round and round , to hit ridiculous timings , with very little sleep. I remembered Morale amongst us was damn bloody low ...

Now I know why 160 SQN is BEST AIR DEFENCE ARTILLERY UNIT for 3 years running !Coz We Are the BEST ! We Give the Best Efforts in our Training ! Alert Always !

Juz look @ 9-11 , Iraq War , and the Recent Thai Coup , The Taiwan Anti-Bian rallies & the Latest North Korean Nuclear Tests.. There are always such events happening , that not only affects the Countries itself , but also other countries around it ...

I do believe we Singaporeans need to be more aware of our surroundings , as we cannot take for granted the peace and stability that we are having now. The "gahmen" is trying soOoo hard to educate us without making us panick & start stockpiling on food , water & gas-masks ...

Imagine we are Japan or South Korea , and the "Northern Commies" start to be funny with their Nuclear weapons. I guess with our Singaporean Characteristics of "Kiasu , Kiasi-ism" , we would probably have all run away , or sent our troops over to deal with the "Kim Faggot" with curly hair.

Peace & Stability should not be taken from granted... Regional crisises can spill over to our region , and we would feel the effects of the aftershocks ... Juz think Thai Coup & Indonesian Haze .. We Cant fight the fires , but we could do well , to prepare for such uncertainties , like prepare enough masks, prepare enough food & rations in the event of a war or disaster.

Was out for Teh & kopi session with bro Azman last night , when we chatted on his bike trips to Malaysia.. I juz thought I might share some of his funny stories and share some of his experiences & the experiences of a Malay Singaporean Cab Driver who sent me home the other day ...

~~~Experiences & Opinions below are purely personal , Although I personally think it may represent a mere fraction of what my fellow Singaporeans are enCountering~~~

The Singaporean Malay Cab Driver's Story-

he sent me home last friday night , told me about his biking adventures with his Singaporean Chinese & Singaporean Malay friends.

Once , they went riding up to JB for Good Seafood & some nice shopping.. Went in a big group of big bikes ... parked it by the roads where they could see their bikes , before proceeding to a restaurant to eat.

Not long after , one of them spotted 3 suspicious characters hanging around their bikes and were squatting down as if repairing THEIR BIKE. Immediately the cabby & 2 of his friends went over directly while the rest of his chinese & malay friends Flanked them and went up to the 3 jokers from behind.

Cabby's friend Spoke in Malay : " Brother , whats wrong? your bike spoilt ah?
The Suspicious character #1 : Erm , Ya lah , Cannot start MY Bike leh ...
Cabby's friend : Cannot Start YOUR bike ?? Come Come , let me help you ! ( He then proceed to take out his Bike Key to ignite the engine .
The Suspicious character #1 , #2, #3 's Balls all drop ...

Summary : The Cabby & Co. gave them a Jia lat Jia Lat lesson in Pain .. after scolding them for spoiling JB as a nice destination , for making JB a scary place for Singaporeans to come .. when Singaporeans come over to contribute to their economy.


Bro Azman 's stories -

Story 1 --- They went riding up north towards Kuala Lumpur in a big bike envoy , bro Az & his friend got stopped by 2 roadblocks in 1 single day ! 1st roadblock , he and his friend were "caught speeding" . Alamak , his friend didnt bring along his riding licence. ( what an idiot ) .

Azman spoke to the "Traffic Polis" ( i dun wanna mix their "traffic Polis" with our Traffic Police ) , asked him to let them off , settle "on the spot"... The traffic Polis said , ok ... settle on the spot , RM$200 . Bro Az tried to bargain to RM$100 .. but the Traffic Polis said that the COMPOUND FINE for the bike to be Released was RM$1200 ...

Malaysia , also suffering the same fate ( infact worse ) , also LL , with no other choices , but to only " register their concerns" with Indonesia , Juz like what Singapore is doing. Took this photo @ 6.10pm ... PSI 126 .. On normal days , I can See Ang Mo Kio New Town clearly .. and even See the MRT trains ... but Now I cannot See beyond the mosque & Bishan Stadium . Did a Contrast on the photo to enhance AMK New Town , And I STILL CANNOT SEE ANG MO KIO !! ... The haze is really bad.

We Suffer health problems , Tourist visitor rates fall , People stop shopping , lower spending , GDP falls ( Ah .. MacroEconomics again) .. Singapore GDP Fall .. who Compensate ? I was @ Bugis Macdonalds earlier , using SunShine's lappy .. Tapped the wireless of Bugis Mac .. Nearly grew white hair waiting for the pages to load . The Connection was Uber Slow .. took minutes to load 1 page... totally killed off all hopes of Blogging in Mac .

Then I realised that We Singaporeans have become too reliant on Technology. More than 60% of our population is IT Savvy , with most of us connected to the net 24/7. I am addicted to MSN , my blog , Friendster & other webbies ... coz its the convenient way to keep in touch with my friends and the world .. So much So that I get irritated, flustered , frustrated if I am denied of a Computer WITH INTERNET ACCESS ..

We are relying SoOOo much on Technology... MSN , 3G Handphones , 3G PDA phones , MP3 Mp4 Players. Try asking any teenager to leave their handphones @ home for a day , they would probably choose to take the trouble to go home to get it , Coz EVERYONE WANTS TO STAY CONNECTED & CONTACTED ... Movies are booked online , PSI Index is checked Online , Almost everything can be done online .. Even our Military relies excessively on 3G Technology as Force Multipliers for our forces , with their HighTech Gadgets which I Shant elaborate ...

Simply deny a Singaporean of Internet Access & his Handphone , we would probably hang ourselves or Jump OFF a building ( Ok I exaggerated) , they would probably buy a new one... So I Shudder @ the thought of a IT-less Singapore.

Movie Recommendation : ROB-B-HOOD

Went to watch this movie with CK , Angel & SunShine ...Interesting Movie with a Good plot , Shows Jackie Chan in another light, as usual , the Goody Guy with a twist .. Really amazing .. So old liao still can perform SoOOooO Many Stunts .. has some moral values like Compassion , Kinship etc ... Rating : 4 .5 Stars out of 5 Stars ...

"Undercover" Children ( not in School Uniform ) .. were playing on the machines , or yAkking about who had the better cars in Initial D .. Bags were carelessly strewn on the ground as the owners battled it out , tackling the sharp corners of the "racetracks"

It was chickenfeet , identifying the kiddoes & their schools , as most of them made little effort to change fully out of their uniforms .. and the school names were also quite visible . Oh Well ... @ Least I Dun See the "White-shorts nerds of Bishan" around , must be busy SWALLOWING their notes ... ( No prizes for guessing which school in Bishan has the most nerds / has white shorts) ...while their neighbourhood counterparts are kept occupied with the token-swallowing machines

Dedicated to my MacroEconomics Lecturer Mr " Sami " & My SunShine ..

Using the principles of MacroEconomics ( I love graphs ) , I have come up with a graph that can explain the essence of a relationship ... to achieve Equilbrium whereby both parties of the relationship can be happy .

@ Point e , Equilibrium is reached when Supply & Demands are met with the right amounts of both... with the supply ( give ) and Demand ( take ) @ Reasonable amounts which is agreed by both parties. Thus @ Point e , Market Equilibrium is reached & the couple will be happy .

@ Point A , There is no equilibrium. Because The Supply & Demands Curves dont Intersect > ( No Marks ! Ah Neh Lecturer Sami Say one ) .. Cannot like that say ... Must explain the market forces ... Because @ Point A , There is excess supply ( Give ) ... One party of the relationship is giving too much ... So he/she not happy .. how to have Equilibrium ?

@ Point B , There is also no equilibrium , because there is excess demand ( take ) .. one party of the relationship wants more , want this , want that , want everything , but the other party giving is not giving enough ... So Both unhappy .. So no Equilibrium ....

*** Therefore , to achieve perfect equilibrium , both parties must give & take equally , or @ a reasonable amount that both parties are willing to give ... to achieve a happy relationship.
