Operation Red Vs Blue 23 Nov 200X

Went up to JB on Sunday for a Malaysia-Singapore Friendly Scenario paintball game under the Wargh! banner..
Reached late with Kelly and Alan due to the terrible jam @ Woodlands Checkpoint .. but reached there with a pleasant surprise awaiting us .. Our favourite Bukit Ramly was transformed into a warzone .. with very well organised admin tents and nettings ..

There were at least 50 others from Singapore , Malaysia , Philippines , Australia? Mexico already there .. and we had missed out on the 1st mission where we were supposed to play defence.
2nd Mission was to attack up Bukit Ramly .. aka Hamburger Hill .. our "section" of 7 were to advance along the bottom road .. but were soon pinned by snipers and heavy "auto" gunfire .. It was a painful long wait before Alan and myself pushed up the roads while our Pinoy teammates bashed through up the slopes while we covered them.
Pushing forward .. we were engaged and a hail of paintballs rained upon us in the bushes.. and *piak* One ball exploded on my kneepad .. and Damn .. dead ..

Some of our Friendly counterparts ... This group was less than half the Actual size ! The rest were busy eating , gearing up ..

Some of us Singaporean Participants ... before the game ...

Mission 3 was my most enjoyable Mission .. teamed up with Kelly, Alan and Andy to take up high position @ the shack ( refer to pic ) .. while Gordon, some of our Pinoy comrades n malaysian comrades took up positions below by the trees .
As the "air raid" siren wailed to signal the start of the game.. everyone tightened their grips around theirmarkers to brace for the assault. The attackers had already struck fear with their full-auto paintball guns.. but we couldnt care more .. Barricades have been set up .. and we would have to be the last stand ..
It didnt take long for the first shots to ring out .. and Soon enuff , everyone was yelling directions to engage at enemies.. Paintballs flew to and fro fast and furious .. splattering in all directions. Our shack took a few direct hits ( What the hell , the enemies came THAT CLOSE )
The pontianaks must have hated us soOo much because we "painted" their trees orange, sending hails of paintballs towards the enemy positions.. while they skeltered for cover. The hilly terrain and slippy ground made it tough for the enemies to advance while the high rate of fire from the enemies posed very dangerous threats to our defenders Being formidable opponents .. they didnt stay long at one location .. and darted around to distract our defenders. The pinoy defenders fought valiantly and traded their "lives" to hold their positions.
Both sides took heavy casualties. We were kept constantly on our toes for somewhat seemed like hours .. til I heard the crackle from the marshal's walkie saying 5 mins left .. We defended our stronghold yelling out 5 more mins .. to encourage everyone to HOLD HOLD HOLD at ALL COSTS ! ...
And soon after .. Victory was won .. Kudos to the Defenders .. and I Salute the attackers for their determination and gumption to take down the objective at All COSTS.
Fantastic Experience .Worth every bit of trouble crossing the causeway juz to play with Passionate Wargamers

Dinner was nice @ Ulu Tiram Indra ... Shiok .. Thats all I can say ...

Filming@ Singapore Sports School

Had the opportunity to help Leon for his videoshoot program today @ Singapore Sports School .. Quite an eye opener .. 1st visit to the SSS and it sure was impressive. Entering the school compounds .. Got the impression of a very stylo Condominium-styled architecture.. The inner foyer consisted of 2 Olympic-sized swimming pools .. And Yeah .. There were many "future Olympians" swimming in it.

Tagged along with one of the groups to do filming today .. And surprisingly these kids were actually very friendly and courteous.. They werent rowdy or bolsterous .. unlike many of the typical Ah beng sec school kids in other Sec schools nowadays.

Filmed 2 scenes today .. and on the set was one talented malay boy named Fahim .. Who was really well-polished in acting skills .. He only required 2 takes to complete the scene .. while another girl took 17 takes in another scene to complete it. So it turned out that he was acting with Mediacorp in Suria .. Talk about wealth of experience..

We went to their Recreational Room .. Totally Heavenly .. They had Pool tables .. LAN GAMING stations with Counterstrike , DOTA , WOW and all that shit .. all Free ... XBOX stations ..

Thats their hostel grounds on the left ... Condo styled hostel .. with 4 or 6 in a room ...

YES ! Para Para Machine .. Daytona II .. Air Hockey ALL FREE !!! LAN GAMING free .. We played CS with the kiddos after our lessons @ 2pm .. Heh .. its been donkey years since I played CS .. lost touch and definitely lost to the young kiddoes ..

Played pool with a 13 year old Xiaomeimei who was rather shy but still friendly enough to chat.. found out more from her regarding SSS .. They had to stay in mondays to fridays .. wake up, train , have lessons 9am to 12noon , 1 to 3pm , training from 4pm .. and Study time @ nights .. No going out of school at all times .. and only recreational time would be the weekends when they go back home to their parents...
HOW SAD ... And she said many of them missed home for the 1st few months.. Lolz .. Just reminds me of National Service .. but this was definitely more Welfare ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exams are over ... been relaxing at home for a week .. Time flies fast and there is no money coming in.. Starting to feel the heat and urgency in finding a job .. I hope I made the right decision to reject the offer ...although part of me is nagging at myself for being stupid when the market is poor now.
Went to pray@ Waterloo Street Guanyin Temple and had my prayers answered .
Have You ever Wondered How divine it was .. to have your questions answered through a divination lot that is "selected" from hundreds of bamboo lots ... and the parables and fables linked to the lot ACTUALLY RELATES TO YOUR QUESTIONS ?? This ... to me ... is divinity . I believe in it .And Yes .. the divination lot wasnt bad .. I hope it will come true again.
2 down ... one last one to go ...
Been having diahorrea very often these few days , due to exams stress .. Its been happening every semester.. and I have gotten accustomed to it .. I didnt even get these symptoms when I was going into National Service .. probably due to the fact that I wasnt very bothered by it .. So it just proves how important passing the final semester is to me ..
$1300 per module isnt cheap ..and to repeat a module is really a pain in the ass.. going through the same chapters , listening to the same shit is really a torture.. Anyway, Crossing my fingers .. I just hope we all successfully graduate this semester and start our careers ..
** Update >> Finished 2 papers .. So far seems ok .. chances of getting a PASS and above seems reasonable . Cross Fingers ..
Will be back with more updates and photos soon.
