Musings for August & September 2009 ..

One thing I really hate abt Blogspot nowadays is the bloody lousy feature of uploading fotos .. It cant do multiple foto uploads like Facebook does , and its a bloody pain in the ass when you dont do programming ..

Celebrated National Day with a big buffet spread that wasnt that fantastic , but didnt cost that much .. S$22.90 after 44% discount .. so .. NO promoting the So So mediocre food @ the hotel

A pleasant surprise came on 7th August 2009 from my RSM, who rang me to ask if I wanted tickets to NDP 2009 .. ITS BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE I WENT FOR NDP!! and It would be the first time Sunshine and myself go NDP together .. What a pleasant Surprise! Its really touching when "uncle RSM" thinks of me when he has something good ..
The power of Canon G10 .. Not a bad prosumer camera , considering there is no tripod ..

Finally graduated on the 27th August 2009, attended the convocation like after many months of work life .. it just feels weird to be going back to school .. Someone asked me , so whats the feeling standing on stage , receiving the degree ??

My answer >> Like that lor .. No particular feeling .. just hoping that the event end soon so that I could go home and sleep .. No particular pride as I wondered how I got through every semester ..

Looking back at all the endless studying sessions @ AMK Garden Mac, studying til the wee hours of the morning with Calvin.. end the session with breakfast and searching for the "Dua Bui Sai/ Aka Da Bai Sha fat ass weirdo who sleeps naked on the pavement every night , before catching the 1st train .. and for me .. cycling back home ..

It will be difficult to forget those sessions .. the talk cock .. the stoning outside .. the cycling in the rain back home .. the morning crowd .. But I am glad those days of hell are over ..

Been learning driving for 3 months plus .. learnt alot through Uncle Steven .. the Ah Pek instructor .. Gone through some funny training like driving through Geylang, driving through the Lorongs .. avoiding Ah nehs and Ah Tiongs .. Drove Bedok, Siglap, Geylang, Kallang, Potong Pasir .. and best , even making use of the learning car to drive to return the convo gown .

Ahh .. the conveniences of a car .. and the benefits of flexibility of a private driving instructor .. he nags in the beginning but slowly lets u drive at ur own leisure .. I have been allowed to drive at 80km/h for certain stretches of road although the official limit for learners is 50km to 60km.h .. and I have always been given the flexibility of choosing whichever lane I liked , perhaps because my speed wasnt that slow to obstruct traffic.

Steven has always been a nice guide on board the car and it feels assuring to have him sitting as passenger. Come 5th Oct .. I hope I can get used to driving without him .. and PASS ONE SHOT !

Wish me Luck !

Mambo XMG out ..
