For the undiscerning reader ... juz fyi ... This picture shows a starving child (foreground) in Sudan, with a vulture ( background) behind just , bidding its time to feed on the child ... dont mistake the vulture as another starving child ...
The photographer, Kevin Carter, committed suicide three months before being awarded the Pulitzer prize. I guess he couldnt take the harsher realities of life .
Juz wanna do my bit & spread this msg of reality around ...
Hmmm ... what can we do to help them ?? I guess We cant ... Money sent to them , we say , probably goes into the corrupt pockets of the local government ?
Then perhaps we could do more for Singaporeans who are in need of help . Do we have ?> Oh yes ... We do have Singaporeans who cant make ends meet , and end up dead , driven by poverty ... Refer to SinterCom ... Only til after his death ... we know his plight ...
There are also the handicapped and the blind ...whom we seem to conveniently forget everytime we walk past them @ the MRT stations ... I guess we could all part with a few cents each occasionally ( You could argue a few cents each day would accumulate to dollars each month ) ... I would ask how much is a few dollars to help someone elderly or handicapped to get a decent meal , compared to what we spend @ the arcades , movies , pubs & clubs ...
Sure ... spend all we want , pamper ourselves .... All I ask for ... is to urge everyone to show some compassion , for those around us ... And sometimes ... Charity can be infectious ... Juz look @ the newspapers featuring the dead guy's family plight ... Didnt people start pouring in Donations ?? These kind souls have even taken the initiative to collect the money from their colleagues and friends ...
Singaporeans & Singapore @ large could do with more compassionate singaporeans like these kind souls , instead of those Elitist Bitch or elitist faggots who think the world of themselves .. and show no compassion to other fellow Singaporeans in the lower echleons of society.

you seriously dun like xiaxue hor.. haha..yah i agreed. we could have done more for the less fortunate. My heart goes out to them everytime I see or hear such news.. The NKF saga has not gone into me - I will continue to help, just not them. Haha...
